My hobbies

This activity is thought to be done in a 1st ESO class, the second term of the year. They are going to use and revise the vocabulary and grammar that they have learnt in class up to now. Each student is going to prepare a video and a speech about their hobbies.

They are going to use the following tools:

1. download helper in Mozilla Firefox to download the videos
2. format factory to transform and join these videos
3. audacity to record their voice and music if they like.
4. a blog to publish everything.
5. audiopal to upload the mp3

In class we are going to follow these steps

1- We ask our students about their hobbies:

• What do they do in their free time?
• Do they practice any sport?
• What do they do at the weekends?...

2- They look for videos related to their favourite activites and download them from the internet with the download helper.
3- They cut each of the videos and join them again with Format Factory.
4- Then they prepare a small speech talking about their hobbies, and they record it with audacity, which they already know how to use it.
5- They upload the video in their own youtube account to obtain an embed code.
6- They also upload their mp3 in audiopal to obtain another embed code.
7- Copy both codes embed from youtube and audiopal and paste them in the blog.
